Tuesday afternoon, flyers advertising “Reasons to Vote for Trump,” an event scheduled Thursday with Michael Knowles, were found scattered across the ground on Locust Walk. The flyers had been posted for approximately 16 hours before they were torn down from wooden bulletin boards and tossed on the ground.

Knowles, Managing Editor of The Daily Wire and author of the New York Times best-selling blank book Reasons to Vote for Democrats, tweeted about the student response at 4:05 p.m. on Tuesday:

The event, co-sponsored by The Statesman and UPenn College Republicans, is set to take place on Thursday, April 19 at 7:00 p.m. Open to the public, the hour-and-a-half discussion will be comprised of a lecture by Knowles, followed by a question and answer period.

Students are encouraged to attend the event with questions and comments that will generate a constructive, thought-provoking discussion.
